Well, I guess you could start out with how Anne Bradstreet might feel. Bradstreet was both submissive to God and to her husband, and an outspoken woman writer. I think she'd feel sorry for Hester and a little angry with the Puritans for their punishment of her, but she might also feel that Hester's sin was enough to justify the punishment.
