Will the brownie ice cream cake work?

for fathers day (my dad is a major brownie and ice cream lover) i was going to make a brownie ice cream cake, but i have no idea if it will work, so i was wondering what you think. I was going to make 2 batches of brownies in circle cake pans, then once they cooled, i was going to put the softened ice cream on one, then place the second circle on top, so the ice cream will be in the middle, then i was going to use fudge as a frosting, then put it in the freezer. what do you think?
